Good morning men, welcome to day 38!
Another part of this challenge I am coming to enjoy is the daily journal. I have just been doing a quick emotional check-in at the end of the day and it has been nice to look back and see why I was reacting the way I was or in the mood I was in. My wife and I have been trying to do weekly check-ins as well, just a dedicated time to reconnect and talk about how the weeks been and what's coming up. Those daily journal entries have been a useful tool to discuss what's been highs and lows for the week.
Here's the war prayer for today:
February 11
The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. My eyes are always on the LORD, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies
-Psalm 25: 14-15
O LORD, the Mighty and awesome God of the Heavens,
We come to you trembling in the Name of your Son, Christ Jesus.
Your Word says you are a friend to those who fear you.
It is in your Word, so it must be true, but how can we comprehend such a thing;
We are vapor and dust. We are a breath of wind, and nothing more.
Who are we to be called your friend?
Holy Spirit, keep our eyes always fixed upon you.
We want the blessing of being rescued from the traps of our enemies.
May you be glorified in every way.
Amen.
Let's concur another day!
