Men, I hope that this post doesn't get buried by Pete Millers work out check ins. I do not think it is a coincidence that we have started the book of Isaiah this past week. I think it lines up perfectly with what is going on in our country right now. We have gotten to a place in our society that pure evil is on full display, we have become a society that no longer protects the orphans and widows. In Isaiah chapter 2 there is a phrase written down several times that refers to "the terror of the Lord". Furthermore, we are told to be a people that protect the innocent, plead the case of the widows, orphans and oppressed. I am full of anger and outrage over what has been uncovered in these files. As men of God, how are we going to respond to this? How are we going to plead the case of the voiceless? What is our role in this? What is God calling us to do? I know I'm not the only one who is searing with anger over this. What can we do?
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Who will go with me?
