The Story: From the Edge of the Jungle to the Heart of the Herd
Imagine a little girl named Maria, 8 years old, scooped off the streets of Guatemala after years of abandonment and abuse. No one to hold her. No one to tell her she matters. The government entrusts her to Casa Agua Azul — the safe house run by Blue Water Surrender, a Christ-centered home on the shores of Lake Izabal in the Rio Dulce jungle. Ted, Gayle, and Director Jerry Makepeace pour the love of Jesus into these kids every single day. They break the cycle. They heal hearts. They raise them strong in the Lord so that when they come of age… they don’t disappear into the darkness.
Because here’s the brutal truth: too many Guatemalan orphanage kids age out with nowhere to go. No family. No skills. No hope. And that’s when the traffickers move in. The streets become their new “home.” The traffic claims them. But not at Casa Agua Azul. Not on our watch.
This is where YOU come in.
I’m taking a small crew of brave men and women (18-24 year olds, plus a father-son duo if the Lord brings the right one) to Casa Agua Azul March 18-24 — that’s NEXT MONTH. We’ll live the Gospel with these kids. Play soccer on the field next to the house. Help with projects. Worship together. Love them back to life. And I’ll be filming a raw, short documentary-style video to tell their story to the world.
This isn’t just a trip.
This is Herd 90 in real life.
Every single Herd 90 discipline — the Bible reading, the daily act of kindness, the 45-minute outdoor workouts (try sweating by a jungle lake at sunrise), the gallon of water, the fasting from excuses, the journaling, the prayer — we’re doing it all right there in Guatemala. Spiritual fire. Mental toughness. Physical grit. Emotional breakthrough. All while serving the fatherless exactly as Psalm 82:3 commands.
FOCUSED
One week. One orphanage. One clear mission: show up for these kids before the world swallows them. Spots are extremely limited. We leave from Fort Lauderdale on American Airlines. Flights are bookable right now.
AUTHORITY
This is a legitimate, government-recognized safe house (BlueWaterSurrender.org). Ted & Gayle have been faithfully running it since 2015. I’ve already locked in the dates with them. I’m bringing my crew. The documentary will honor their work and shine light on the need. This is not vacation — this is obedience.
TRIBE
This is The Herd showing up as the strong, biblical men and women we’re called to be. Young lions and lionesses stepping up. Dads and sons forging legacy side-by-side. A small band of brothers and sisters who refuse to scroll past the suffering. When we get home, the whole Strong group gets to see the footage, celebrate the wins, and feel the fire we bring back. You won’t just hear about Herd 90 transformation — you’ll live it and lead it.
EMOTION
Picture this: a 10-year-old boy who’s never had a father figure looks you in the eyes and calls you “hermano.” A little girl who was trafficked before she was rescued grabs your hand during worship and won’t let go. You come home changed forever. Stronger in your faith. Tighter with your tribe. Proud that you didn’t just talk about being a leader — you actually went and defended the fatherless.
But if you wait… the seats fill. The flights jump in price. The week passes. And those kids keep waiting for the next team that might never come.
This is urgent. Next month. March 18-24.
If you’re one of the brave few the Lord is stirring right now — man or woman, 18-24 or a dad ready to bring his son — DM me TODAY. Say “GUATEMALA” and I’ll send you the full details, cost breakdown, and flight info.
We’re not just doing Herd 90.
We’re taking it to the jungle to rescue the next generation.
Who’s jumping on board?
The Herd doesn’t wait. The Herd moves.
Let’s go change some eternities.
See you in Guatemala.
