What's New in The Group

Hi, is anyone else having issues with the app randomly deselecting tasks you’ve already completed? It keeps happening to me and I have two days that say I didn’t complete all my tasks even though I checked them off.

Yep, I gave up on it. I appreciate the effort and know it is no small task to create an app. It still has bugs and hopefully they have time and can fix it. I have lost checked tasks and yesterday, I didnt update in time (tried about 11 pm after the Avs game), so the day shows as missed. There is no ability to get back and check the tasks.

Day 8! Spent some time reworking my workout plan, feeling ready to keep it going. The weekend felt like a blur and had to find unconventional ways to get my 45 mins in. But here we are on a Monday! Let’s get after it!

Great job, Dave. Unconventional but intentional is the name of the game for me.
That alarm clock has really ticked me off a couple times this week. Warrior on brother!

Tweaks to workouts, reading time, Journaling time, etc. are necessary as our days proceed!!

Good morning, Men.
Welcome to Day 8 — Week 2 of our 90-day challenge.

We are still in the early rounds of the fight you willingly stepped into—a fight to fortify your mind, body, and soul. That alone says something about the kind of men you are.

This is a good moment to take inventory.
Is your plan working? (You did make a plan, right?)
How’s it going so far—are you running strong above the fray, or just running to the bathroom every 30 minutes?

Either way, you’re still here—and that matters.

Let’s check in with each other.
What wins have you had?
What setbacks showed up—and what did you overcome?
If you’re feeling the pressure already, say it out loud. We don’t quit in silence.

Did you catch that my friend…
WE DON’T QUIT IN SILENCE!

You joined this group for a reason, this is that reason. You can be that man you envision.

“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Hear this clearly:
YOU are man enough.
YOU keep your word.
YOU can do hard things.

Your son, your daughter, your wife can count on you—especially when it’s uncomfortable. You don’t have to be perfect in life or in this challenge, but you will not quit.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” — 1 Corinthians 9:24

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13

Call to action:
Today, post one win and one challenge in this group. Then take one intentional action that proves you’re running to win—not just trying to survive. Lace up. Lock in. Let’s go.

Win: I showed up today and honored my commitment both physically and spiritually.

Challenge: Staying fully present when my body and mind wanted comfort instead of growth.

Action: I chose discipline over ease and aligned my actions with the person I’m becoming. Running to win. Locked in.

Win: Down 7 more pounds while focusing on Jesu. Challenge: pushing my body past the good pain to keep moving. Action: making sure my Yes is Yes while showing dedication to my men and my family. Let’s get it. Ahhhhoooo!!!

Win: much more aware of many aspects of spiritual & physical life that I was too casual about in the past. Lost a few pounds so far! Challenge: came down with a cold the first day, had to stick with the workouts anyway. Normally I would skip working out with a cold...

Grateful for week one in the books. Did one modification, couldn't do an outdoor workout on Friday so did a second with the weights.

I know me and had, well still have if I'm honest, my doubts.

Jumping from my pre- HERD 90 workouts to my more impactfull HERD 90 workouts had definitely made me feel it... Water intake isn't to the full 1 gallon yet, but I'm getting in 90-100oz, which is much better than prior...

Yes, the getting up at 3:40 in the morning going right into a workout feels great afterwards, but the first 20 minutes of wanting to feel like you could vomit is a tough get

Body is complaining in some parts, feeling better in others already. Spirit is doing good! Hate the picture...

Day 7 Read in Matthew 18 this morning. “Have faith like a child,” the Gospel is easy, it’s when I try and fit into a worldly idea of “faith” where my temptations lead me to sin.

"You have a target. Don't have a dream. You can go home. You can sleep & dream as much as you want, but you're not going to get it (your target) if all you do is dream. But once you put a target in front of yourself, you will achieve that target (with effort)." -Name unknown

Doing snow angels for 45 minutes outside is a workout right?

You just have to do them like burpees and you start a new one for each rep! Brings a whole new meaning to this verse “Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Well Done Sir!!!

Day 5: a song came to me when I had finished reading my bible, “Our God,” by Chris Tomlin. Keeping the chorus on my mind as I walk into the day today

Thanks for the worship idea! Have a blessed & fruitful day! #Aaaaahhooo

Day 4 was a big day, but I crushed a 45 min workout involving tag with my kindergarten groups. (I teach Elementary P.E.) laying kids down and round 2 begins.

Day 3 in the books. With God for us, and men with us, we will forge God’s Kingdom on Earth.

Day 3 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things that are unseen.” Hebrews 11:1 I am being reminded how powerful faith is, and to exercise it daily just as much as my body.

Got my morning workout in (back and biceps today), read Exodus 2 (amazing the movies that start with that chapter and that story is 30 minutes or longer), and started the journaling for tge day. Done with coffee and now onto water.

Big temptations today as I am golfing with a potential client. Hard to refrain from a few beers, but the cool temps and wind will help!

Good morning brothers. I just wanted to say we may not know each others faces but we know each others hearts. Stand firm in your faith men. God bless everyone of you.

Put on the full armor of God!! Your flesh is coming after you and there is one that wants to destroy you!! Be strong in the Lord. Walk in the light. Allow God to work through you. Hold your ground. The war has been won. But you have to fight now. Do it for yourself and God!

I don't know if this post is allowed so please delete if so.

Good morning gentleman! Just finished Exodus 2, journaling, leg day, a 45 minute outdoor walk and prayer. I feel compelled to invite any men in the Denver area to join me for the Men's Recovery Step Study at the Flatirons Denver campus starting a week from today. I am "leading" it which is crazy because I will be the most broken man in the room but apparently that is who God uses. More information is below but feel free reach out if you want to know what's it is actually about. I've been praying for you.

Just finished my 5:30 am workout: arms day. Read Exodus 2, just reminds me that we can never run too far from God , when he has a plan for our lives he will insure it’s carried out. He will also equip us to do what he has called us to.

Day 2 has me being reminded of my need for a Savior! Read through the Sermon on the Mount and am reminded of the simple fact that this life is not possible without Jesus Christ. Hope everyone is staying strong today 👌

“But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭1‬:‭12

This verse hit me this morning as we are starting what could be considered an oppressive 90 day journey, even though it’s self imposed.

I don’t know about y’all, but part of why I’m doing this is to show the world what men can do when we work together, on mission towards a common goal.

I pray that I people who think men are toxic are in dread of the people of the Herd.

We’re being led by our King Jesus Christ. We’re suited up in the full armor of God, standing shoulder to shoulder as His warriors here on earth. We come together in unity, disciplined and obedient, moving on mission toward a common goal.
